Summary
AEC objects are not shown in VDF
Solution
This problem has to do with AEC objects (architectural, engineering, construction custom A.CAD objects) that VDF do not support.
If a drawing is not saved from an AEC application (like “A.CAD Architecture” application) with PROXYGRAPHICS variable set to 1 then these objects cannot be shown in VDF.
If PROXYGRAPHICS variable is set to 1 then some extra objects (as blocks) are created for these AEC objects during save and these blocks/inserts can be shown by VDF.
You can try this with your "AEC" drawings you have, open them from A.CAD set PROXYGRAPHICS variable to 1 and save them. The produced new DWG files will be shown properly in VDF.
